Walking into the Sid Mashburn men's shop is always a delight. The men are dressed beautifully, the tailors are hard at work and there is always a plethora of items to drool over. So for today's Manly Monday, I'm picking 11 things that recently caught my eye. But truth be told, I love it all. See their entire online shop, here.
Summer days call for summer pocket squares and light, linen scarves. Virginia Ruth of Dayton, Tennessee has an obvious passion for her craft. She utilizes natural dyes to color her high quality fabrics. As she shares, she chooses fabric 'that makes me dream and want to travel.'
I'm writing this post on Father's Day, which is apt, as Virginia was inspired by her own dad to start her shop. Her dad never leaves the house without a hanky and after making him one for Christmas a handful of years ago, he encouraged her to make them for retail. Turns out her pops had a very good idea and she luckily took him up on it. Virginia believes strongly in owning less items but better made ones. All of her beautifully made manly accessories are built to last- and truth be told, the scarves work just as well for women too. I love it all... see her entire shop, here.
Erik prides himself on sourcing high quality materials such as Horween leather, brass hardware and durable, waxed canvas. As an owner of his leather Franklin tote, I can attest that his bags are beautifully made and built to last. I love the look of his camel messenger bag above- it reminds me of how much I prefer a vertical laptop bag. Although this is a Manly Monday post, truth be told, these bags work well for either the guys or the gals...
And of course, pocket squares. These will always steal my heart. The colors and textures of Erik's collection is pretty much picture perfect. He makes my favorite solid color squares as they all have a bit of character to them. And at just $26 each, how can you resist?
