Birds and Pumpkins

I can hear my sister and niece saying 'awwww...' now. I just love these dainty, pretty birds created by Jenny of the Sea Pinks Etsy shop of Fredericksburg, Virginia and thought this may be the perfect, happy post to start a Monday.

It is Halloween today so wanted to show one of Jenny's crafty pumpkins that has a ton of charm. This one, made of a natural linen, can fit in easily and sweetly with almost any decor...or be used as a pincushion.

All of her decorative birds are hand sewn out of wool felt with the addition of embroidered accents. This white pumpkin is made from ivory jacquard fabric.

Jenny makes her little wrens out of cotton or wool felt. As she describes on her site, "Each has a cream colored wool felt belly and yellow wool felt beak." They would look so cute on a windowsill....thanks Jenny. See all of her crafty creations here.

Christina Brown

I'm a fan of little funghi and therefore I'm a fan of artist Christina Brown. Her Etsy shop, The Oak Leaves is one worth perusing...

Christina was born and raised in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She let go of a job at a local nursery to work from home and create these wonderful mini, clay homes and nature inspired conversation pieces. I really like the little village as a unique addition to a bookshelf. See more of Christina's lovely mini's here.
