A couple weeks ago, I went to the Atlanta Gift Mart to peruse the artists and to, of course, eat free samples in the gourmet food section. One of the booths that caught my eye was Beatriz Ball. Based in Harvey, Louisiana, Beatriz Ball offers hundreds of beautiful metalware items all made by hand, each one different than the next.
They offer a variety of shiny styles of trays, bowls, frames and pedastals. I'm personally loving their organic pearl line, above.
Although based in Louisiana, where much of the design work is done, the tableware pieces are handmade by skilled metalworkers in Mexico. As stated on their site, "Our pieces are made entirely by hand, one at a time, using the ancient art of sand casting: pouring a premium quality alloy of molten aluminum into sand molds and then going through four levels of polishing."
I like the look of adding something shiny and new to an antique table...
These pieces have become a favorite of brides and it's easy to see why- they make a statement all their own. Plus, they work just as well at a special event as they do at a neighborhood picnic. A little bling goes a long way... Click here to see where you can find these pretty pieces in your state.
