Photographer, Debi Treloar inspires me with her gorgeous home and homespun touches. I especially like how she adds personal touches including these bathroom curtains made from a few favorite silk scarves.
A twin flat sheet makes an easy curtain as all that's needed is some stitching over the top rod to hang. And a flag is a fun, unsuspecting way to add an interesting touch...
This look takes a skilled touch, but if done well it can be quite stunning. In this room, the homeowner stitched together various white and blue dish towels. It's another home decor photo that makes me want all white floors and lots of natural light...
If you can sew a bit, you can use any type of fabric to make your curtains, including tablecloths, tea towels...even vintage lace.
And who says curtains have to match? I like it when they're layered with different textures and patterns, or just fantastic colors. The above stack of lovely, complementary fabrics comes via IKEA.
This one takes no effort at all. It's a drop cloth and a vintage hanger... clever design. Hope you're inspired. Happy weekend!
