Gretel Home

When you read about Gretel Home, based in Miami, Florida you'll often hear the descriptor, "Pretty, Modern Design." Founded by Abby Kellet in 2009, I'd say it's just that. In her Florida shop, Abby has gathered great finds from around the world in all manner of decor- from glassware and lighting to textiles and objects.

These simply, pretty glasses by Nouvel Studio make me want to redo my entire glassware collection.

Abby has collected some great pieces for the dining table. As she states, "We admire products that are clearly hand made and look for those with an emotional element to their design."

All three of these pendants are beautifully made by different designers. From top, the Iacoli Mcallister, the Norm 06 by Simon Karkov and a Vibeke Fonnesberg for Bau.

These resin and fabric wood trays are made by Landscape Products in Japan.

I've been to Alaska numerous times and have a love affair with bears. So I'm easy to please when I see this wooden bear made of Beech wood and bands that allow your child to put the bear in a myriad of positions. The designer describes this bear, named Ursa, as having "the muscles of a grizzly and the gentle nature of a mama bear." And you have to admire this precious bear mirror and animal coat racks

There are just too many pretty, modern items to love at Gretel Home. Peruse through their site to learn more.
