Monday calm and peaceful...

I'm in the mood to start this week sans stress or worry. These illustrations have a sweetness to them I wanted to share. The above is from Baltimore artist, Yelena Bryksenkova. She named it Elephant Dream and shares, "I wish I could have a pet elephant, preferably in a more compact size."

This print is also by Yelena and is aptly called City Night/Country Night. I have equal love for the city as I do the country so this little piece of art is one I particularly like. I really love how she names a few of her favorite things on her Etsy site which include "world exploration, dashing historical men, limericks, good grammar, Napolean Bonaparte and mysterious circumstances."

These watercolor paintings are by Holly Ward Bimba of Upperville, Virginia. I especially love Nature and Artifice, inspired by "garden maps, knot and parterre gardens, topiary and espalier."

I love this watercolor painting of a buck that Dallas artist, Carrie Willingham named Why So Serious? And it's hard not to like this happy tree illustration by Noelle O'Reilly of Georgia. Noelle will customize any colors you wish for this print. Such pretty artwork from all these Southern artists...and a sweet, peaceful way to begin the week. Happy Monday...
