Last weekend was the Country Living Fair in Stone Mountain, Georgia. It was my first visit to the fair and my sister and her friend came down from Boston to join me on our venture to sort through all things country, rustic and repurposed.
The first booth that caught our eye was Stash Style. There was a lot of great finds here and I loved the idea that you could never quite see everything- just a ton of fun treasures to sort through.
This is a fun idea for a DIY project- paint the inside of an old door with chalkboard paint to share thoughts on or cover in a fabric to use as a magnetic inspiration board.
This next booth we gravitated towards was RePurpose, located directly across from Stash. It happened to be the booth of Cari Cucksey, host of the HGTV show, Cash & Cari. I really loved all her items, especially this repurposed chair and the round, graphic signs that would look so cute on a porch.
I love this picture as it's a freeze frame of the quirky and soulful booth of Sassy Trash. Some of their finds can be bought at the Sassy Trash Esty shop, where the owner describes herself as a "lifelong picker, crafter and repurposer of discarded vintage bits and pieces."
Oh how I love oilcloth...and all things vintage for the kitchen. I must say, I was impressed with how much fun eye candy there was at this fair, and lots of inspiration for Southern home decor. Here's hoping it happens again next year, right here in Georgia...
